Abstract

This is a research about the role of the sustainable tourism like a measure for conservation of the biodiversity, the landscape and the natural resources in Western Rhodope Mountains. It is made a characteristic of the area and a specification of the activities, strategies, programs and projects in the region and their positive and negative influence for the environment. The analysis proved that the development of a sustainable tourism and the declaration of a Natural Park in Western Rhodope Mountains is the right way for conservation of the biodiversity and the environment.
