Abstract
The paper studies the termination of pension rights following the decease of the rights holder. The theoretical and empirical aspects of that ground for termination of pension rights are considered in the framework of the legal regulation currently in force in Bulgaria. The relevant national case-law with regard to that legal regulation is also under analysis. On that basis several proposals de lege ferenda are also formulated regarding legislative amendments in that area for the future.
