Abstract
The purpose of the report is to present the statutory activities of private security guards and the security and public safety organizations and agencies responsible for providing security and safety at tourism destinations in the Republic of Bulgaria. Their competences, powers and activities related to tourism security and safety were examined. On the basis of the legal analysis of existing regulations, issues have been identified related to the provision of reliable security measures in these sites along with measures to tackle these challenges.
