Abstract

The study explores two main dimensions of integrated management processes in a cross-cultural virtual context: e-leadership and management through the prism of digital transformation. The focus is placed on traditional and new leadership paradigms, neo-charismatic theories and the specific features of effective team leadership, management competencies, styles and leadership roles. They have a direct impact on social and interpersonal relationships in a virtual team environment and an indirect impact (through work and technological processes) on the effectiveness of the virtual team structure. Digital competencies, emotional intelligence, intrinsic motivation, empathy and social skills are identified as components of effective e-leadership. They are the basis of management processes related to the design and construction in a virtual context of an integrated communication structure adapted to the symbiosis of cultural diversity, unique cultural attitudes and value networks that stimulate dynamic interactions, cooperation and open relationships in the team. The role of e-leaders is fundamental in this process as they use information and communication technologies as a lever to achieve an adequate level of communication that creates or maintains the necessary social dimensions.
