Abstract
This report examines the status, main trends, challenges and future prospects of the global tourism industry. It analyzes the impact of modern technologies on tourism, digitalization, artificial intelligence and virtual reality. It also examines the challenges related to climate change, the loss of cultural identity due to globalization and insufficient infrastructure in developing destinations. Particular attention is paid to sustainable tourism as a model for long-term development - through environmental initiatives, support for local communities and promotion of
responsible consumption.
