Calculation of weighed average estimation marks by means of spreadsheet

Abstract

ABSTRACT: When the weight of each particular component in the formation of the evaluation mark of
a subject, expressed as percentage is different, the particular components are more than 10
and several other conditions take a part in the formation of the evaluation mark, it is obvious
that the evaluation by formulae can not be done in one's mind, and it is most convenient to use
spreadsheets. In order that such requirements be satisfied, it is necessary to work out
formulae for calculating the evaluation mark of the subject and to write them in accordance
with the syntax of a spreadsheet program. All this is done for the subject Graphical
Documentation from the bachelor program Computer Media Technologies of New Bulgarian
University and several results are given in the table. This technology may by used in similar
cases.
РЕЗЮМЕ: Когато процентните тежести на отделните оценки, участващи при оформянето на крайната оценка на обучаем в един учебен курс са различни, тези оценки са множество и са поставени допълнителни условия за оформянето на крайната оценка, ясно е, че изчисляването на необходимите за това формули не може да се направи наум и е най-удобно да се използва електронна таблица. За да се изпълнят такива изисквания е необходимо да се изведат формули за изчисляване на крайната оценка на обучаемия и те да бъдат програмирани съгласно синтаксиса на електронната таблица. Това е направено за учебния курс Графично документиране от бакалавърската програма Компютърни медийни технологии на Нов български университет и резултати са дадени за няколко обучаеми в таблица. Тази технология може да бъде използувана в подобни случаи.
