The text summarises what is known about the Gerov-Antikarovs family from academic literature, providing new information about them. It follows the relationships
between the two branches of the Gerov-Antikarovs family, examining the way in which the unconventional trade of glyptics (gemstone carving, antikarstvo in
Bulgarian) has made its way to Master Dimitar, giving the family a double-barrelled surname. It studies Kosta Gerov’s activity as a teacher and icon-painter, as well as the current state of his heritage of a painter.
