Abstract
Is it possible synergies between the two seemingly conflicting tools for the development of the organization on the path of building competitive advantages, such as innovation and standards? The report is looking for an answer of this question stating arguments in support of the thesis that standards play an important role in the innovation process. Complementarity of the specific characteristics of innovation and standards ensures retrieval positive results in the form of competitive advantage.
