Abstract

The special need category of SEBDs can be controversial. Some people believe that learners with behavioural difficulties are choosing to behave badly. Teachers often feel incompetent when faced with poor behaviour and this can provoke strong emotions. This lecture module will address some issues related to teaching 'difficult children' and help the students from the pedagogical strand of the English studies programme to feel more prepared to deal with such behaviour in class.
