Abstract
This report analyzes the results and benefits of cross-border cooperation (CBC) between Bulgaria and Romania in the post-2007 period in terms of economic security in the cross-border area. Selected criteria of effectiveness provide a comparative analysis of two programming periods: 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The expected outcomes of cross-border economic projects (by 2023) are also being explored. Outline the main trends and prospects for developing the cross-border partnership and its role in terms of economic security.
