Abstract

The report provided briefly presents the artist Hristo Berberov and examines four of his works from the collections of Historical Museum and Bencho Obreshkov Art Gallery in the town of Karnobat. Two of the works are figured compositions: "In the Viciniry of Nessebar" and "Karnobat in the Past", and the other two paintings are men's portraits: "Young Man" (portrait of А. Kenov) and "Man with а Pipe". Hristo Berberov remains in the history of Bulgarian art of the first half of the 20th century as а landscape and portrait painter. His painting style is transcendental - seeking the truths beyond the . real, and the paintings from Karnobat offer more different artistic line, complementing the artist's hand.
