Abstract
The paper focuses on the importance of what Scott Fitzgerald personally attested (in a remarkable letter to Edmund Wilson (Sept. 7 1934)) to be his dedication to the Human Idea. This idea assumes different (and noteworthy) dimensions in the works of Fitzgerald and is in actual fact the essence of the writer’s literary masterpieces.
