Abstract
The paper focuses on “The Swimmers” (1929) and uncovers the different aspects and motives behind one of the significant, but neglected short stories in the works of Scott Fitzgerald. Though the writer defines “The Swimmers” as ‘the hardest story I ever wrote’, such a statement should be regarded beneficial in terms of an analytical approach to the literary work.
