Abstract
The paper systematizes and analyzes certain trends in the critical thought concerning different aspects of the mastery of Fitzgerald’s works in terms of their importance, not their purely stylistic, chronological or (auto)biographical contours. The achieved results are aimed at revealing the genuine portrait of Scott Fitzgerald.
