Abstract

The housing reform in Bulgaria introduced a number of privatization measures aimed at the establishment of a market-oriented housing sector. This chapter examines the steps and policies of privatization that attempted to change the form and extent of state control and regulation over the housing
market. It analyzes systematically the privatization of the production, finance,management, and consumption of housing.
