Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to outline, against the historical background, some of the main aspects in today’s relations - often uneasy and more often than not emotion-dominated - between the Slavic nations and countries.
These issues will be examined within the broader context of subjectivity, including race and ethnicity, and its role in the constitution and organization of social and political relations.
